Follow These Steps to Become an AHA Instructor
Have a current AHA provider status in the discipline you seek to instruct and be proficient in the skills of that discipline. Disciplines include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and Heartsaver. If you need a class for the first time or as a renewal book here: ACLS, BLS, PALS, Heartsaver
Complete an Instructor Candidate Application to be accepted by an authorized AHA TC
Purchase the Instructor Manual for the discipline you seek to instruct. Purchase manual here: ACLS, BLS, PALS, Heartsaver
Complete the Online Instructor Essentials Course for the discipline you are becoming an Instructor of. Purchase course here: ACLS, BLS, PALS, Heartsaver.
Review the Instructor Candidate Workbook before attending the in-person Instructor Essentials Course.
Complete our in-person Instructor Essentials Course. Email adam@emskillz.com to schedule a class including your provider card and Online Instructor Essentials course completion certificate as attachments.
Successfully complete a monitored class within six months following the in-person instructor course.
Once you become an Instructor, you will have access to the most current emergency cardiovascular care science, course updates, training resources, and tools through the online AHA Instructor Network. You can post class dates and times to reach more students through the AHA’s public website.
