    Class Advertisements

    Instructors MUST comply with the AHA. Program Administration Manual (PAM). Class advertisements must include the following:

    β€œThe American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.β€œ

    Teaching Location Requirements:

    - A smoke-free facility

    - A nonresidential facility

    - A secure facility free from intrusions

    - Appropriate heating and air conditioning

    - Clean environment and equipment

    - Adequate lighting

    - Absence of noises, odors, non-participants, and other disturbances/ distractions

    There are some things that you should know prior to pursuing the instructor and we have detailed them for you on the following page. Join the team!

    Instructor Transfer

    Already an Instructor and looking for a new home? EMskillz understands growth and the need for change from time to time. We are accepting new Instructors and we look forward to getting you settled into your new Training Center.

    Instructors must:

    Possess valid (not expired) instructor credentials.

    Have performed the appropriate instructor upddate courses and online instructor essentials courses.

    Have taught four classes in the last two years.

    Be in good standing with the losing TC, AHA, and not be subject to any judicial review.

    Schedule a date to have a class monitored and recorded.

    **Advanced discipline instructors (ACLS, PALS) must be healthcare providers who possess the scope of practice necessary to perform the skills taught in class.

    Instructor Renewal

    Instructors must:

    Possess valid (not expired) instructor credentials.

    *An instructor who lets their credentials lapse will loose access to their instructor profile on Atlas and will lose their eCard balances without refund. Prioritize recertification.

    Have performed the appropriate upddate courses.

    Have taught four classes in the last two years.

    Schedule a date to have a class monitored and recorded.

    **Renewals are only processed for instructors aligned with EMskillz, LLC.

  • A form titled 'Basic Life Support Course Roster' from the American Heart Association with sections for course information, instructor details, and student list.

    Course Roster Entry

    All course rosters must be kept for a period of three years. After instructors issue cards in Atlas they must copy the table of information that is on the final page and paste it into the area provided on the following page. Instructors are required to perform this action to ensure appropriate eCard balance accounting.
